Thai Signage

Advertising 'night climbing' at Ya Ya Bar; the band 'Clim Bing' was formed...

Diamond Cave Resort facilities, struggling with the full translation and the toilets came with their own bucket of water to assist in the flushing process...

Day trips provided, Jame Boand Island is a personal favourite...

Escalator was out of order, in my head I pictured a little old lady desperately trying to find 'Cafefully' to assist with her passage to the lower level...

Travelling Tales, Travelling Tales...

Not a shoddy job but we couldn't decide if this was 'private' or reserved for 'pirates'...

Following the Tsumani of 2004, signs to show the evacuation routes are in place, this directed us straight to the sea...

Wat Arun, a glorious place to spend an hour, lessons in directions are included in the entrance fee...

Monks are big, they can ask for anything and often do...

Including your seat on the BTS...

Hard Work

Yet again I am experiencing that overwhelming feeling of loss which generally follows the national lottery draw. Tonight I was convinced I held the winning numbers, alas I did not. It is a stupid thing really, I only play when I am in 'money worry mode' and I know that it wasn't written in my life plan that I should win mega cash; the only way is to work hard and don't expect anything for nothing.

Still bloody annoying though, could right do with a few million right now!

Nibbling on a Placenta

I would like to think that I would give this a go, it is after all full of nutrients and will boost the iron levels. I wouldn't eat the placenta of another mind you, the thought of it makes me gip. As for the woman who has made a business out of printing the placenta, drying out the placenta and making a smoothie out of the placenta, clearly she saw the gap in the market and grabbed it with both hands. I wonder if there is much money to be made with such an enterprise...?

Look at those lines...

Lego!
I am now the proud owner of a fine cutting machine. The box wasn't an issue, nothing that a good kick couldn't sort anyway. Alex finally relented and helped me with the handles, which was very nice of him, particularly as he was in mid gate re-hang at the time.

Man does drilling

The highlight of the day was the lines, and what splendid lines the Bosch Rotak 34 Ergoflex Electric Rotary Lawnmower creates, most satisfying... I am sure you agree that the 'before' and 'after' shots clearly show that this beast can eat grass.

Before...
...after

The next electrical purchase is a shower. I am going to have to ask whether this will also fall into the soft furnishings category...

Hibernation

So, the bike has been put away for the winter. This happened a couple of weeks ago much to Alex's despair. It is currently wrapped up in Mumbo's garage being kept company by Pop's collection.

He started looking for a 'nail', this is apparently the technical term for a motorcycle that can be abused in the winter months. Talk of that stopped when I started spending money on oversized canvas prints; I don't think that we have a wall large enough for the latest addition!

I still haven't been able to put my new 'lid' to the test, or my gloves. I am starting to suspect that Alex likes to have the bike to himself, last time I suggested we went for a ride he turned to me and said, in a rather matter of fact way, "I'll have to get that suspension sorted then!"

The last outing

Designing the Blog

I could spend hours playing with the design button on here. It does start my OCD off though so maybe I should go and make a brew before I start licking the screen. Got a nice bit of willow out back, might go and weave something too...

Weather

I can't decide whether it is the weather that is making me feel like I want to do nothing but watch the Thunderbirds film that adorns the TV right now, or whether it is simply that I can no longer take my ale. This is not a good thing due to the fact that on Friday we head to Thailand for a couple of weeks with the Doctor. I am not relishing the thought of Chang-overs, me thinks that I need to get some practice in!
